The problem:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lm-therm Elektrotechnik AG received a special customer request for the heating of a small sub-distribution board. The main challenge was the limited space available, as the sub-distribution board was already fully utilized and offered little room for additional components. In addition, the components needed to be protected from frost and condensation during the cold winter months, as outside temperatures in its vicinity can reach as low as -10 \u00b0C. Given these conditions, a reliable heating solution was crucial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The solution:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our solution to this specific concern was our compact, powerful \u201cSuper Mini\u201d heater. This innovative heating solution is characterized by the following features:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compact design:<\/strong>

Due to its compact dimensions, the Super Mini heater takes up very little space, making it the ideal solution for confined spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

High performance:<\/strong>

Despite its small size, the heater offers a power range of 10-20W. This is sufficient to effectively heat the small sub-distributor and prevent condensation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Integrated thermostat:<\/strong>

In addition, the heater has an integrated thermostat that can be obtained in various temperature settings and also functions as overheating protection. This eliminates the need for an external thermostat in most cases, making the heater a practical and very compact plug-and-play.

Low surface temperature:<\/strong>

All heaters with an integrated thermostat from Lm-therm generally do not require protection against direct contact. The thermostat built into the heater limits the surface temperature of the heater, which normally prevents burns from direct contact even without an additional cover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flexible customization options:<\/strong>

The connection cable, the thermostat and the mounting method of the heater can be adapted to customer requirements. This allows the heater to be easily integrated into existing control cabinets and makes the installation extremely flexible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conclusion:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the super mini heater from Lm-therm, the problem was solved effectively. The heater was easily integrated into the customer’s control cabinet, ensuring a uniform temperature inside. An external controller was not necessary as the heater was equipped with an integrated thermostat. This intelligent feature allowed for an optimized mode of operation where the heater was only activated when needed, which not only reduced energy consumption but also increased energy efficiency. This meant that the customer could be sure that their components were optimally protected, even at extreme temperatures, without causing unnecessary energy consumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
