Girl’s Day – Girls’ Future Day 2024: Lm-therm is taking part

The proportion of women in technical professions is still far below that of men. According to the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, the proportion of women in technical training occupations in Germany in 2022 was 10.8% – too low compared to the proportion of men at 89.2%.
Like many companies, Lm-therm Elektrotechnik also uses the Girl’s Day Future Day to give girls an insight into the wide range of technical professions. The aim is to promote young talent in technical professions free of gender stereotypes. Lm-therm has already taken part in Girl’s Day in recent years, giving various girls the opportunity to gain practical experience. In 2024, Lm-therm Elektrotechnik AG will again provide three places for interested girls. So if you are interested in getting a taste of the profession of electronics technician for systems and devices at Lm-therm Elektrotechnik AG, please contact the head of administration Ms. Bianca Neumaier (Tel: 08543/6246045, e-mail: b.neumaier@lm-therm.de).

About the Girl’s Day Future Day

Every year, the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), together with campaign partners such as the Federal Employment Agency (BA) or the Federal Parents’ Council (BER), call on institutions and companies to give girls the opportunity to get a taste of technical professions. On this day, girls have the opportunity to gain practical experience in professions and fields of study in which the proportion of women is currently below 40%. The aim is to promote young female talent in the trades, industry, IT, science and technology. A survey conducted after the campaign day in 2022 proves that the campaign is having an impact. According to the survey, 21% of participating schoolgirls could imagine pursuing a career in computer science or information technology after Girl’s Day. Before, it was only 12%.
