Experience technology: Girls’ Day 2025

Girls'Day 2025

Girls’ Day 2025: On April 3, 2025, Lm-therm Elektrotechnik AG once again took part in the nationwide Girls’ Day and opened its doors to interested schoolgirls. Three young participants – Elena (13) from Aidenbach and Marie (14) and Maria (14) from Aldersbach – took the opportunity to gain an exciting insight into technical professions.
After a welcome from Jürgen Gerauer, Head of Material Flow and Value Creation, the day began with a tour of the various areas of the company.
In production, the girls learned about the structure and function of control cabinet heaters and were able to see how they are produced in-house. They then moved on to cable assembly, where they were shown how cables are cut, processed and prepared for installation. The shipping department also provided exciting insights – from packing the products to creating the delivery documents.
In the production control department, Markus Forster, Production Manager at Lm-therm, explained how customer orders are translated and planned into specific production processes.

A real highlight awaited at the end: together with Mr. Michael Gruber and Mr. Michael Fröhler, the students made their own extension cable – a practical result that they could take home with them.

The event concluded with a joint discussion in which the participants described their impressions. Girls’Day at Lm-therm was a successful morning for everyone involved – with lots of new experiences and perhaps one or two ideas for their own professional future.
Girls’Day 2025 at Lm-therm showed once again how important it is to get young women interested in technical professions and how diverse the opportunities in electrical engineering are.
