Holiday program at Lm-therm: Bimetal fans made by children

This year, we once again took part in the holiday program organized by the municipality of Aldersbach. Ten children were given an insight into the fascinating world of electrical engineering.
With the help of our head of technology Simon Gsimbsl and our employee Michael Fröhler, the children built a bimetal fan. Despite the warm temperatures, the mood in the group was exuberant.
All ten children succeeded in building a functioning bimetal fan. This involved a variety of steps such as marking, bending, gluing, and assembling. (In a bimetal fan, the bimetal is heated by a tea light and the motor is switched on). The day ended with everyone enjoying ice cream together at the nearby playground.
